Elim is situated in the small town of Pontllanfraith near Blackwood. We would like to extend a warm welcome to you at any of our meetings. Especially to our Sunday Morning Service.

Allotment Project
Allotment Wellbeing Project “Sown and Grown”
The Allotment Wellbeing Project offers a way for a broad mix of people to work together, sharing knowledge, tasks, skills and experience. It also creates opportunities for extra benefits such as social gatherings, educational workshops and the enjoyment of nature and the outdoors. There’s a growing body of evidence linking gardening with improved mental and physical health. Helping to grow a good crop of fruit, herbs, flowers and vegetables can do wonders for individuals confidence and self-esteem.
The Project is based in Elim Baptist Church. Community Volunteers commit to working 2 hours a week minimum to oversee the daily allotment maintenance. Benefits to the Community Volunteers include free training, all equipment will be provided including protective clothing, plants, seeds etc, socialisation opportunities, physical and wellbeing health benefits, some of the produce grown can be taken home and no ownership responsibilities. There is no financial reimbursement for Community Volunteers engaged with the Allotment Wellbeing Project.
To Volunteer contact us via wwwyos@caerphilly.gov.uk
There is a recruitment and training process to be followed.
